CLP-700 series converts the slightest variations in touch into a limitless range of sound that captures your individuality as a musician. Thanks to the latest technology, CLP-700 series is as expressive as grand pianos, and offer a more wonderful playing experience than ever before, taking your expectations of what a digital piano can do to greater heights.
Playability
Featuring the latest GrandTouch-STM keyboard with a broad dynamic range of touch and response on the level of a grand piano. Excellent consistency and nuanced expression give the pianist the utmost control over touch.
Sensitivity
Grand Expression Modeling is a ground-breaking new technology that enables the pianist to use their techniques to produce the limitless tonal variation unique to grand pianos. The ability to vary the intensity and speed of touch to produce different tones adds another dimension to the joy of musical expression.
Sound Quality
The powerful, brilliant Yamaha CFX, and the Bösendorfer Imperial with its rich tones and natural-feeling resonance. The CLP-700 series faithfully reproduces the dynamic range and diverse tone variation of these two great pianos. New binaural sampling for both CFX & Bösendorfer provides the full ambience of the sound and eliminates stress while playing with headphones. Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) intricately simulates the full sympathetic sounds created by the overlapping resonance of the strings and body of a grand piano. The exquisite piano sound makes every song sound great. The new fortepiano voices open the door to the world of classical music from the 18th and early 19th centuries.
Grand Expression Modeling
The interaction and the interplay of the hammers, dampers, and strings inside a grand piano respond to the subtlest nuances of the pianists touch, creating a limitless range of tonal expression. Touch refers to the pianists control, not only of intensity (softness/loudness) in playing and releasing the keys, but also of the speed and depth with which the keys are pressed. The Grand Expression Modeling introduced in the CLP-700 series translates the widely varied input from the pianists fingers into the same limitless tonal variation of a grand piano.
This makes it possible to vary the output by playing the keys to different depths and with different speeds, even when using techniques such as trills or legato or emphasizing the melody over the accompaniment.
Clavinova Design Silhouette and Visual Enhancement
The uniform silhouette of the front end of all models from the CLP-735 to the CLP-795GP is a common feature of the entire CLP series. Since the lamps switch off after use, only a single on/off switch is visible on the instrument.
It is possible to customise this switch-off and also the click sound for feedback when pressed. In addition, the power indicator on all models has been moved from the front panel to the on/off switch, positioned to the right of the keyboard. The colour diversity of the CLP series is rounded off with a well-balanced range of options.
